ROLAND GENESY, JR. ACCEPTS THE CHALLENGE WITH INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY

Running Back Roland Genesy, Jr. exhibited a great 2014 season with the Glendale Community College, in Glendale Arizona. His prosperity in 2014 was surprising to some, yet his former teammates believed he was bound for greatness the first time they stepped onto the field with him in 2014. In 2014, he led the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference with 105.9 rushing yards per game and 12 touchdowns. He amassed 1,059 yards rushing, averaging 6.5 yards per reception, including a long rush of 42 yards. He finished second on the team with 24 receptions and two other scores.

After talking to and visiting with Indiana State University, Genesy Jr. decided it was the next stop for him. On December 17, 2014, he made his enrollment official and signed his letter of intent. He is ready to unleash his inner beast on the Sycamores field. Genesy Jr. understands the importance of a running back and he has accepted the challenge to make a serious impact. He understands the most important traits of a running back are awareness, speed, running ability and blocking ability. He knows he needs to demonstrate intelligent in order to know the plays and understand his role on each and every play.

His father Strength and Conditioning Training Coach Roland Genesy believes there are a number of different things players can do to improve as a running back. He believes players must work hard on drills. Coach Genesy explains skills such as your ball control, agility, making cuts and awareness are the key elements to greatness. Coach Genesy believes when developing strength training, don't simply focus on one area of the body. If athletes build up upper body strength without working on the leg strength, then they aren't going to develop as a running back. They need to work on getting stronger in the legs and the upper body and they will cause more problems to defenders.

Coach Roland Genesy explains my son must be ready to prove to be a productive running back when the coach calls his number. He must be prepared and he must understand every challenge has a different face; therefore, he must study and make preparation. He must prepare mentally, physically, and emotionally if he wants to make the game his event.
